This Privacy Policy describes how Generate-Random.org ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our random data generation tools and API.

Our own servers keep as little as possible: if we don't collect it, we can't lose it, sell it, or misuse it. The site is funded by advertising, so the pages also load two Google services, Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which are described in detail below together with the choices you have.

When you generate random data on our platform:

There is nowhere for us to store what you generate: no database tables for it and no backups of it. Once you close your browser, the data exists only on your device.

For the website to function, some technical information is temporarily processed:

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages and tools are viewed, how visitors arrive (search engine, link, direct), their approximate country and city, and their browser, device type and screen size. We use this to decide which generators to improve and to find pages that load slowly.

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) that last up to two years and let it count returning visitors. The values you generate are never sent to Google Analytics; only the fact that a tool was used. Reports are aggregated, and we don't combine them with any other data about you.

Google processes this data under its own terms; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block Google Analytics on every site with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

The site is free because it shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies (such as __gads and __gpi) and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, and, where allowed, show ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

Ads are never placed over a generator's results. We don't choose which ads you see and we receive no personal information from Google about you, only aggregated revenue and performance reports.

You can turn off personalised ads in Google's Ad Settings, or opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Google's use of advertising cookies is explained in its advertising policy.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google Analytics and AdSense start with all storage denied: no analytics or advertising cookies are set and ads are not personalised until you make a choice in the consent message shown by Google.

Until you accept, Google may only receive cookieless signals (for example that a page was viewed) and may show non-personalised ads, which are based on the page you are reading rather than on you. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy settings link that Google's message adds to the page, or by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which shows the message again.

Visitors from other regions see the site with analytics and advertising enabled and can use the opt-out options listed above.

We hold no personal data on our own servers, so there is usually nothing for us to send you or delete. For the data processed by Google:

Our website may contain links to external resources or documentation. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites. Please review their privacy policies separately.

We don't ask anyone for personal information, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. The site is not directed at children, so ads are not targeted at them.

If we change our privacy practices, for example by adding or removing a third-party service, we will update this page with a new "Last Updated" date.

Major changes would be announced on the homepage. However, our core principle will always remain: minimal data collection, maximum privacy.
